School Day

Kimpton, Thruxton and Fyfield Church of England Primary School open its doors at 7.30am for breakfast club. [For further information about Wraparound care, please view our dedicated page: Wraparound Care]
Statutory Opening Hours: Our school day begins at 8:50 am and ends at 3:30 pm. This amounts to a total of 33 hours and 20 minutes per week, which meets the Department for Education’s expectation for all state-funded schools to be open for at least 32.5 hours per week.
A member of staff opens the school gate at 8.40am. Children arrive through the main playground gate and go straight to their classroom via the appropriate entry door. All pupils must be in class by 8.50am when the register is taken.
Parents are requested to bring their children to school in plenty of time and to leave them at the gate to allow them to come into school independently.
