At Kimpton, Thruxton and Fyfield CE Primary School, our academic curriculum is designed to ensure every child reaches their full potential. As a small, nurturing school, we pride ourselves on knowing our learners individually, allowing us to support them through the challenges and triumphs of their primary years.

Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2 Progress

The Department for Education has confirmed that it is not possible to calculate primary progress measures for the 2023/24 and 2024/25 academic years. This is because there is no Key Stage 1 baseline data available for these cohorts due to the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. As such, schools are only required to publish attainment data (test results) for these years.

Phonics Screening Check (Year 1)

Reading is the gateway to the rest of the curriculum. In 2025, 74% of our Year 1 pupils met the expected standard, marking a strong increase from the previous year.

  • 2024 National: 79.5%

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Our Early Years team works to ensure children have a "Good Level of Development" (GLD) by the end of their first year in school.

  • 2025 Performance: 54.5% of our pupils achieved a Good Level of Development.

Multiplication Tables Check (Year 4)

Mathematics is a strength across the school, and this is evidenced by our Year 4 results where pupils consistently demonstrate strong recall.
